West End

Welcome to West End

One of the city’s most dynamic suburbs, inner Brisbane’s West End is a thriving community where the student, alternative and young professional populations collide. Named after London’s West End by the first settlers to the area, the suburb stretches from South Brisbane to the riverfront opposite Toowong and St. Lucia.

West End Lifestyle

A favourite amongst the trendier crowd, West End is known for its post-industrial bohemian vibe, its eclectic locals, a huge selection of cafés, bars, restaurants and vibrant nightlife.

With easy access to the CBD and Cultural Centre, not to mention the University of Queensland, the Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University campuses, it’s not hard to see why West End is a real estate hotspot.

Throw in one of the city’s biggest weekend markets, excellent public transport, parks, and a long stretch of waterfront, and you have a suburb with plenty to offer.

Local Businesses

Sol Bakery and Cafe

SOL’s first bakers (Phillip & Sean) went about creating a range of handcrafted breads made from certified organic stone-ground flours and using only natural fermentation techniques. SOL’s range of breads has a strong emphasis on wholefood ingredients, without the use of chemical or other additives and agents, or the encouragement of farming techniques which degrade the environment.

Morning After Cafe

Located in the heart of Brisbane's West End, Morning After is the vision of mother and son Soula and Yianni Passaris. Enjoy a balanced menu of healthy, fun and indulgent foods.

Lumber Punks Axe Throwing

Brisbane's best digs located in West End. Throw axes in a massive, 19 lane warehouse boasting arcade, onsite parking and awesome post-axe partners.
